§ 6-31. Impoundment—Running at large.

  • (a)

    Whenever the city animal control officer or any police officer finds a dog running at large, he shall, if possible, take possession of and impound the dog in the city dog pound.

    (b)

    In addition to, or in lieu of, impounding a dog found at large, the animal control officer may cite the owner of the dog to appear in municipal court and answer to the alleged violation.
