§ 31. Sanitary sewers.

    All gravity sewers shall be sewer pipe (recommended local standard) conforming to A.S.T.M. Standards, and installed in conformance with the specifications of the city. Concrete sewer pipe may be used in areas in which there will be no industrial waste carried, upon approval of the engineer.

    The minimum size of lateral sewer mains in residential areas shall be six (6) inches in diameter. Minimum grades shall be sufficient to produce a velocity of one and five-tenths (1.5) feet per second.

    All outfall mains shall be of sufficient size to accommodate the maximum anticipated flow from the entire area tributary to the line, as determined by the city manager.

    31-4

    Lift stations shall be furnished where necessary, of such size and design as determined by the city manager.
