§ 8-234. Standard Plumbing Code adopted.

  • (a)

    For the purpose of establishing rules and regulations to govern plumbing installation, construction and maintenance, including permits and permit fees, there is hereby adopted as the plumbing code for the city the Standard Plumbing Code, 1988 edition, as published by the Standard Building Code Congress International, Inc., as may be amended, modified or repealed by the provisions of this Code or other ordinances of the city. A copy of the code shall be on file in the office of the city clerk. Such code is incorporated and made a part of this Code as fully as if set out in this section and the provisions thereof, as amended, shall be controlling for the installation, construction and maintenance of plumbing within the city.

    (b)

    If there is a conflict in the code adopted by this section and any other provision of this Code or other ordinance of the city, the provisions of this Code or ordinance of the city shall prevail and control.
