§ 8-122. Same—Bond.

  • Prior to the issuance of a license as a master electrician, the applicant shall make, and execute and deliver to the city clerk, a bond in the sum of $1,000.00, payable to the city. After such bond has been approved by the city clerk, the bond shall be for the use and benefit of the owner or any party in interest in the property where the master electrician may furnish any material or labor or perform any service, against loss or damage to any person or property which may arise by reason of work or labor done, or material furnished in violation of the requirements of any law of the state or this Code or any other ordinance of the city controlling such work. Such bond shall be executed by each applicant with any recognized and responsible surety company authorized to do business in the state.
