§ 30-56. Exemptions from article.

Latest version.

None of the terms or prohibitions of this article shall apply to or be enforced against:
(1)

Any vehicle of the city, county or state while engaged upon necessary public business.

(2)

Any vehicle recognized under existing law as an emergency vehicle while serving its purpose in an actual emergency.

(3)

Excavations or repairs on bridges, streets or highways by or on behalf of the city, county or state during the night when the public welfare and convenience renders it impossible to perform such work during the day.
