§ 24-271. Exemptions.

  • The provisions of this article for registration, registration cards and licenses shall not apply to or affect or control the following:

    (1)

    The selling of products or services wholesale to retail dealers within the city.

    (2)

    The selling of products or services within the city by use of the United States mail exclusively, and where no personal contact by the seller, or agents of the seller or purchaser, is had.

    (3)

    The selling of insurance contracts by registered agents.

    (4)

    Any person engaged wholly in interstate commerce or anyone whose operations form an integral part of interstate commerce and upon whom the provisions of this article would impose a direct and unlawful burden with respect to such operations.

    (5)

    Solicitations for charitable purposes.

    (6)

    The sale, delivery or soliciting of orders for the sale of milk, dairy products or bakery products.

    (7)

    The selling of vegetables, eggs and other farm and garden products which have been raised or produced by the vendor when the vendor is a resident of the county.
