§ VII. "B-1" Business district use regulations.

  • In any "B-1" business district, the following uses only are permitted:

    (1)

    Any use permitted in the "R-2" duplex and multiple-family dwelling district.

    (2)

    Stores and shops where goods are sold and services are rendered primarily at retail.

    (3)

    Hotels and lodginghouses.

    (4)

    Tourist courts and motels.

    (5)

    Offices.

    (6)

    Off-street parking lots for the parking of automobiles.

    (7)

    Public buildings, theaters (except drive-in theaters), assembly halls and cafes.

    (8)

    Public garages, filling stations, and automobile repair shops.

    (9)

    Plumbing shops.

    (10)

    Printing shops.

    (11)

    Shoe, tire, or electrical repair shops or similar trade.

    (12)

    Wholesale merchandising.

    (13)

    Accessory buildings and uses customarily incident to the above uses.

    (14)

    Storage, provided it is limited to a reasonable supply of those articles which are to be used, displayed, or sold on the premises.

    (15)

    Advertising signs, billboards and bulletin boards.

    (16)

    Drive-in theaters, when approved by and subject to such requirements as the planning and zoning commission may consider necessary to protect adjacent property and prevent conditions which may become objectionable.
